Job Purpose: An Assistant Rm examines, evaluates and processes applications for credit or loans as forwarded by relationship managers in which both professionals serve. He or she is responsible for the follow up and maintenance of assigned credit accounts from Relationship managers. The position exists for the primary reason of increasing the efficiency of the Division and thus allowing for increased sales calls by Dubai marketing Team RESPONSIBILITIES: • Achieving Budget and Business plan objectives. • Soliciting new credit business. Sells and cross sell the Bank products and services. • Initiate calls, visit and contacts with potential customers to originate and develop new business relationship, to obtain credit checking and market information update. • Conduct negotiations with customers, structure credit deals and advise customers where possible, on business management and financial matters. • Assisting in preparation of credit limit applications. This requires:  Obtain financial statement for credit analysis unit.  Prepare credit applications request (CAR) including structure of credit facilities.  Liaison with Legal department for documentation formalities and preparation of agreements.  Assisting the relationship Managers and Senior Manager in credit applications and other credit related issues. • Acting as first level point of contact for customers to resolve any problems, in the absence of Relationship Managers. As a necessary step, accompanying the Relationship Manager to at least one meeting with the client whose loan has been approved in order to establish contact: thereafter responding to client’s request. • Assisting in the accounts management process as instructed by relationship manager. This includes but is not limited to.  Monitoring customer compliance with credit limits, and initiating early Alerts signals.  Ensuring that accounts mandates are in order & documentation are in place.  Reporting defaults or over dues ti the relationship manger and taking action according to his/ her instructions.  Monitoring performance of the division where the officer is assigned. • Undertaking special projects under the directions of the unit Head for the improvement of the bank profitability or monitoring of portfolios. • In order to monitor repayment of credit/loans, the Senior/ credit Officer prepares reports of outstanding loans and accounts, informs the relationship Manager and Unit Head. Prepares routine letters or calls clients requesting payment (when assigned by the relationship Manager or unit Head) and finally reports any non – performing defaults to the unit Head for other modes of follow up. • Maintaining and organizing up to date and complete credit files. • Facility Booking form/ drawdown approval. • Assist in preparing the business and marketing plan and operating budget. • Perform other duties as when assigned. Skills Requirements: • Should possess effective communication and marketing skills with in depth knowledge in multinational or oil business. • Should be a team player • Should be able to work under pressure and manage demanding deadlines • Should be PC literate • Bilingual ability is a must Qualification and Experience • University graduate with BA/BS as minimum with courses or diploma in credit analysis. • Should have 3-5 years experience in Corporate Banking and Credit Structuring.
